THE BUSHY RUN BATTLEFIELD AX
The head is of cast design but completely changed, with a forge-welded overlay bit of file-steel to lengthen the head. The original casting did not have a bowl so I forged a screw bowl from a piece of gun barrel and then forged the willow leaf shaped spike from a piece of coil spring steel.
Two engraved sterling silver inlays on the bit accent the engraving on the head. The drilled haft is a nice piece of curly maple. The bowl and spike are interchangeable so the ax may take on a different look and function.
